Stamina

For six years, from 1905 to 1910, Russian athlete Ivan Poddubny was a world champion in wrestling. Although incredibly strong, he achieved this not only by inborn abilities, but also by hard training.

He was born in a peasant family and physically worked since early childhood. Later he was a docker and once loaded a stubborn horse which didn’t want to go to ship: he just lifted it up and brought aboard. Of course, such strength couldn’t end up unnoticeable. After some training, he joined circus and demonstrated miracles: he could lift up three chained people and carry them walking around circus.

He toured around the world and many times was invited to stay abroad with highest salary, but he preferred to come back home. He lived long enough to face WWII and to suffer great hunger which was especially painful for this giant who needed several litres of milk every day. He died almost 80 years old, absolutely poor in post-war Russia, but still a firm patriot and amazing athlete: every day he took a walk with a 20kg stick. Russia remembers him well: there are wrestling contests dedicated to him, and even yogurts of his name, promising the same power and strength.

Stamina is a capability of prolonged effort, and this is indeed vital in training and developing strength. Astrologically, stamina requires combined influence of Mars (strength) and Saturn (persistence) on Sun (vitality), and this proves correct in charts of famous wrestling athletes – look, for instance, at the chart of Nikolai Valuev:
